Andrew Bird & Ian Schneller’s Sonic Arboretum - August 5th at the Guggenheim Andrew will be teaming up with sculptor and long time collaborator Ian Schneller as part of the Guggenheim Museum's summer concert series Dark Sounds. On August 5th, Andrew will perform in the museum's famous rotunda surrounded by a landscape of audio sculptures designed by Schneller. The now famous horns will be accompanied by smaller 'hornlings' and 'hornlets' creating what can only be called the 'Sonic Arboretum'. Andrew recently contributed a cover of Harry Nilsson's 'Think about your Troubles' to the compilation album Songs from the Point! All proceeds from the sale of this album benefit 826NYC, a nonprofit group that provides creative-writing workshops and tutoring to kids aged 6 - 18. You can buy it here.
